Governor Training: Understanding Martyn’s Law
Understanding Martyn's Law
With full alignment with Martyn’s Law expected no later than April 2027, many school governors are seeking clarity on what the legislation means for them and what their responsibilities will be in practice.
Drawing on our experience supporting schools across the UK, we have developed a dedicated training session designed specifically for governors. The session provides clear, practical guidance to help governing bodies understand their role in ensuring their school is prepared and compliant.
The training is delivered online, lasting approximately 90 minutes and can be attended by as many governors as required.

Ahead of the session, governors will be invited to complete our Critical Incident Readiness Audit at no additional cost. This short audit helps establish the school’s current level of preparedness and provides a useful baseline to inform the training.
